Greg Kmoch’s introduction
to the martial arts began in junior high, where he
was a competitive wrestler. In 1998, he studied the
fundamentals of boxing, kickboxing and Sambo (which
is a Russian martial art that uses elements of judo
and wrestling and is known for its unique takedowns,
throws and leg locks). He continued his training in
the martial arts while serving in the United States
Marine Corps, where he was exposed to many different
fighting styles including Jeet Kune Do and Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu. He has spent the last 6 years studying
White Tiger Kenpo Karate in Addison, IL under the
instruction of Grandmaster Thomas Saviano. He has
had the opportunity to train with Grandmaster John
Mc Sweeney, 3x Ultimate Fighting Championship
competitor Keith Hackney, Olympic wrestler Mark
Shultz, and Judo/ Jiu Jiu jitsu great Sheldon Marr.
